Donjoy Technology as a sanitary flexible impeller pump manufacturer in China keeps improving the flexible impeller pump. Improvement of pressure resistance, with the innovative design of pump body and shaft seal, and applied new impeller material expanded the application range for flexible impeller pump.
The flexible impeller is the core part of the pump, it offers reliable and excellent performance. The eccentric structure of the impeller and the inner surface of the stator of the pump body makes the pump with self-priming ability. It could transfer liquid containing gas and air. It also could transfer various materials and fluids with solid and brittle particles such as berry doesn’t damage the product. Because of its volumetric pump design, It could also be used as a dosing pump. Provide different material impeller options for different applications. Food grade rubber impeller is certified and used for hygienic applications.

Flexible Impeller Pump Working Principle
At pump inlet end, due to the inner eccentric structure of pump stator, the partial vacuum between the flexible impeller will be formed when the volume is increased. The consequently formed suction will draw liquid into the pump chamber.
The rotating impeller carries the liquid from the inlet to outlet. At this stage, space between impeller actually keeps constant. The gap between impeller allows big solid particles to pass through the pump and without damage.
The impeller contacts with the flat part of the eccentric inner surface in the pump stator. When the impeller is bent, the volume between the impeller will be decreased, so the liquid will be discharged continuously and evenly from the pump.
